乌金釉，它是黑釉中最莹亮的一种。明代成化年间，景德镇的艺人在宋代黑釉的基础上发展乌金釉，但当时烧成极不稳定，也不流行。清代康熙时，乌金釉精制于督陶官臧应选，雍正、乾隆年间，唐英亲手参与了工艺制作。
